I'm using the default calendar gadget. I'd like to enable the dates for the previous month and next month.

Example: the calendar gadget shows...

  
     May 2015  
26 27 28 29 30  1  2  
 3  4  5  6  7  8  9  
10 11 12 13 14 15 16  
17 18 19 20 21 22 23  
24 25 26 27 28 29 30  
31  1  2  3  4  5  6  

I want the user to be able to select April 26th thru 30th or June 1st thru 6th. Those dates are *shown* but they are not *selectable*.

Do-able?

From a flexible design standpoint I allows use separate start and end date fields - each with its own datepicker button (automatically generated by CCS).

While your described method is more complex to code and needs to return 2 date strings, it doesn't work if you ever want to include a range of more than a week when it covers more than 1 month.

Let me clarify...

I want the user to be able to pick a single date.

The CCS gadget prevents the user from picking a date from the end-of-April or beginning-of-June days displayed. It forces the user to pick a May date or click the month selector.

I want the user to be allowed to select one of those dates.
