@MichaelMcDonald
I've been using CC - CCS for over 10 years and I can unequivocally say that you could write what I know about php on the back of a cigarette packet, yet I still manage to design and build very advanced db driven systems. That's the power of CCS.

Great to see new releases in the SaaS / PaaS world:
As of today ParaSQL Release 10 (November 2014) is now available:

Hi,
Thank you all for your feedback in the forum and by privat message.
My conclusion: There is still a group of users for CCS with a more technical background and some not interested in the cloud based on growing pricing model and others going special for the cloud.
Best regards,
Marco

I would say at the end of the day it pays to have the technical knowledge because not every business runs to the same report card and you just don't know when you are going to require the flexibility of being able to drop a series of hybrid odbc's in to bridge versatile architecture.
All these Saas's, etc are good in their defined operational capacities but sometimes the solution simply comes down to writing a comprehensive sql query.

I don't visit much any more but I have been using CCS and CC since ver 1.02. I am not a programmer I just build what is needed for the office and web site so notice when something comes a long to simplify the job. I spent a little time looking at the web links that Marco posted in the first posts before they got too blatantly promotional. I just checked to see what applications I already have done over the years could have been easier and simpler than CCS5.x
As mentioned above, these are very constrained in range of uses. Just the tasks involved in recreating a few features of the shopping cart and booking engine I did 6 years ago in CCS really could not be done in these. Sure, some reports could be done, and customer account info stored and recalled but not real applications. I will stick to CCS in a new suite of applications I just started for a new business I just registered.
This thread is an apples and oranges comparison and way too promotional to entice anyone using CCS for a while to move to such limited systems which have monthly fees per user.
