About six years ago i asked the same question, but my memory fails me 
I'm confused about whether i should use panelname or recordname or...
So this is my situation:
Panelname: score_add
Recordname: rec_score
Record fields: h1 -> h18
Sum field: score_total
This is what i started with, but as you can see en guess doesn't work (on change).
function Show_Total()
{
var TotalSum=0;
var Summ;
Summ = rec_score[h1].value + rec_score[h2].value (etc) ;
TotalSum = TotalSum + Summ;
document.rec_score.score_total.value = TotalSum;
}
