hi,
working with grids (design view) i found out that deleting a column will damage the control buttons like update, insert, cancel so that they are still not working. i must install them manually. seems the button tags will lost.

inserting a column is no problem.

an old bug is changing someting in an table (also design view) will not reconised by codecharge, i have to put some characters into the table header than it works.

upgrading from an old version will cause that the table navigator bar all must be new installed in all tables on every page.

iam now using version: 5.1.1.18990

Has someone an workaround what to to with the problems deleting a column ?

regards, thomas

Hi,

deleting a column in the Design view sometimes fails or does not work at all in the latest version. The workaround is to delete the column (header, data and update any colspans) in the HTML view.

Cheers, Rob.

I haven't noticed buttons breaking with columns delete, but if there are some rows with 'colspan' values (usually header and footers) and others without (regular data rows) that sometimes the deletes will not work or might get weird.

I can also insert columns, but then (again with the colspans) moving them left-right can get stuck.

HTH

I have had no hassles similar to yours. The only thing is that sometimes deleting a column or row in a record in design does not actually do it. I tend to always do it in the html.
