Are there actually migration tasks to deal with in going from 5.0 to 5.1?

So far, it looks like all Auocompletes have to be rebuilt.

I have a ticket with Support. Waiting for reply.

I've converted a .NET project from 4.3 to 5.1 and there were some things to watch - can't be sure if they are migration problems or the fact that this project started in CCS 3 and has been migrated twice.

Likely migration issues
- some closing tags of javascript got commented out when transferring from Design mode to the .aspx code (but I think that's fixed in the latest 5.1 build)
- updates to .NET Framework from 2.0 to 3.5 and 4.0 had some changes to web.config (mainly stuff that's added by CCS, which is not needed anymore so IIS complains about double-ups)

Likely CCS problems
- sometimes, changes to the Design HTML or added fields might not sync to the ASPX page - so I need to cut/clear the ASPX, click Design, then click ASPX again to resync. Then I can quick publish again. Only noticed this with .NET, not PHP, obviously.

Nothing else major, but I'm not on Win 8 or IE 11 which are associated with most of the problems.

Thank you for that tip. I have needed that in the past, and I didn't know that trick.

All usages of FCKeditor are also broken.

Still waiting for Support's response.

I have discovered that all usages of FCKeditor were all switched to CKeditor. I've asked Support about this issue, too.

Still no word about the broken Autocompletes.

Lane - I think the FCKEditor developer has replaced it with CKEditor.

I've been doing some work with adding plug-ins and everything is for CK..., with any FCK... being marked as "discontinued"

Thanks Eric.

When I switch to CKeditor, I'll lose my server-side, free spellcheck functionality.

Does anyone know of a way to incorporate phpspeller with CKeditor?

Regarding the loss of all my autocomplete components, I'm still waiting for Support response.

Does *anyone* have a successful migration to v5.1 completed?

I have two major problems, both reported to Support, but haven't heard from them for over two weeks now.

As costly as the migration from 4.x to 5.0 was, this one has been even more costly. And I'm not sure what else I'll run into.

Anyway... I'd like to know whether anyone has made the migration as I'm not sure the list of broken components will end.

So far, I have discovered that all FCKeditor components and all autocomplete components must be manually converted.

I can't use CKeditor. It doesn't support pspell.

Spending time to manually convert all these components is very, very expensive. Plus, I don't know what else I'll run into.

Again I ask... has anyone upgraded without incident?!?

Okay... I've let some time pass... Hopefully someone has migrated from 5.0 to 5.1 successfully by now?

I haven't heard of anyone who has yet, but there must be someone?
