Hi ...
am creating a registration form:
how i can check if the username he entered is available or taken .. ?!
please advice

Quick and simple - On the Properties for the username, set the 'Unique' property to 'Yes' - the error message may not be user friendly, but it's quick. Look at the en.txt file and translations for ways to change the message.

Alternatively, if you want to do something trickier, you could put a DLookup action into the Before Insert event of the Record to look up the username then set some other Error (check Help for AddError to add your own errors to the form)

But please do try the Tutorials in the Help file. It is useful, and there are Examples projects in CCS what will demonstrate most of the common things.
