Problem or not in version 5.1

After installing version 5.1 and converting my 5.0 projects the first thing I have noticed is:
- That when I am in design mode, I can not see the style of my page.
In 5.0 when in the design mode you can clearly see the style of the page you work in.
(not seeing the style is no colors etc. of the style set for that page).
When checking the HTML code, the style is still there.
When publishing the project, the style is published correctly and shows correctly in the browser.

Is this normal in version 5.1?

I think it is normal in 5.1 and it works better for me when using Artisteer designs. In 5.0 the design background was used for the page background in design mode. Some of my designs have a dark background, light content area and dark text. This made it difficult to see the page in design mode because CCS was displaying dark text on a dark background.

Strange.
It seems like a downgrade to me.
The design mode is described as a WYSIWYG and has always worked that way.
After converting my projects from 5.0 to 5.1 every page looks like it has no style assigned.
The style is still there in the html and is there when you check the published page.

Today I have received a response from support confirming that it is not normal in case you just use a style and not use astisteer and I will post the result if resolving this issue for users that might have this same problem.

Hello,
I have the same problem.
Any response from Yes support x-ray?
I read the post of dev4 but the problem is only in the design and preview mode.
At run-time mode every things works fine.

Hello scarvello,
I have not received a solution yet from yes software.
They are however looking into this and I have supplied my project files before and after conversion.

For now, what I have found out is that:

1) after conversion to Jquery the first line in each html file
<!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.01 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/html4/loose.dtd">
has changed to just
<!DOCTYPE HTML>

2) if you do noy convert to Jquery this problem does not occur
(because the first line mention in point 1 does not change.

3) if you do convert to Jquery and you change the first line in the html files back to html 4.01 the problem for the design mode and preview mode does not occur, but then the browser might misunderstand the html5 standards.

I will post the proposed solution from yes software once this is resolved.

I have noticed a strange behavior: If in Internet Explorer (ver 10 on Windows 8) is set
"Compatibility mode for all Sites" the CSS style is well rendered in the "Preview".

scarvello, I have tried it on windows7 and it does seem to resolve the problem of both the design mode and the preview mode.
I have commented this to Yes software so that they can include this fact in their research.

I think that CCS is using the IE engine for rendering html.

Thanks for the observation scarvello.
Will post the Yes software solution when I receive it.

Ok, thanks again x-ray. It seem to be an IE related problem.

Another possible solution could be to do a downgrade from IE 10 to IE 9. But I don't have tried it.
