I need to provide performance testing for ASP.net accessing sql server 2012. Does anyone know a a recommended way to do this?
Also need to predict load for sizing the app for the cloud. What do people do for this?

Did you find anything that works? Luckily most of my apps are small Line of Business apps that are run internally so the app performance is a minor concern, but I'm interested too in getting some metrics for some larger apps I have planned.
I'm yet to play with the newrelic.com agents to see what is involved.

I came across a tool from monitis.com
Very nice, easy to use and lots of features. I particularly like load test from up to 30 different location around the world.
The price is also very reasonable and is perfect for the small business without lots of funds for expensive software.

Looks comprehensive. I like the way you can custom build your plan based on the number of type of things, but you need to be careful - the price skyrockets with a few clicks of a few more monitors from a few more locations around the world.
But as you said, useful for load testing and monitoring for small business.
