Hi

Anyone interested in how to implement mod_rewrite and SEO friendly URLs in CCS??

I finally had some spare time and modified my last CMS system in CCS to support that functionality.

Little history on this CMS.. http://forums.yessoftware.com/posts.php?post_id=118859

The site you can see this working on is http://promotethekids.com

You will notice the URLs for the CCS horizontal & vertical menus are Text that describe the page content and mod_rewrite re-directs to the proper page in the CMS

Examples:
SEO Friendly URL: http://promotethekids.com/page/18/Services-by-Shannon-Real/
Same Page But the re-written URL: http://promotethekids.com/pagedisplay.php?pageID=18

Additionally the site is capable of being configured by the Admin to either use or not use mod_rewrite.

If you would like more info, let me know.

Or contact me by PM or by either of these URLs

http://realwebdevelopment.us or http://realsites.biz/codecharge-studio-support

:-)
Have fun!!!!

Hi

I fixed a few issues with the CMS and Artsy Stuff.

Put up a re-skinned demo here: http://realclientone.com

PM me if you want to look at the back end for Administrators.

Enjoy:-)

Hi again

Just want to update

I have moved the CMS demo to

http://demo.c c s e l i t e.com/ccsCMS

(Remove the spaces in the URL since ccs**** is a bad work here. LOL)

or click on the demo link here

http://realsites.biz/codecharge_studio_store.php?pid=38

The significant change in this version is to allow the installation in subdomains or subdirectories on any host. A problem existed with re-written URLs before if the CMS was not installed in the root directory and user friendly URLs were activated.

Again, if you would like to see the back end, PM me for login creds.

.

Trying to update this to CCS5 and Artisteer 3.1 & 4.

So far it does not look to good...

Many CCS5 bugs is making it impossible.

Hoping support will address the issues quickly. I have support tickets in.
