Instead of results appearing vertically like so:
result 1
result 2
result 3
I would like to display the results as:
result 1 result 2 result 3
I have seen a few posts on this matter, but one is 7 years old and the other relates to a MSSQL database. I am using classic asp with an access DB.
Could someone lead me in the right direction.

Try using the Gallery Builder (it's in 4.3). It creates a grid with some features that make it display across the page and then down - you can choose how many columns you have.
It's designed for image galleries, so it will ask you for an image field. Just choose any text column; once the grid has been created you can add the fields you want (and remove the image field that you probably don't).
