 CCS 5 not storing GroupID, UserID session variables on login

I just purchased CCS 5.0 and there seems to be an issue related to common.php whereas when a user logs in, it is not setting the session variables such as UserID, GroupID, ...etc

Yes,

For the time being I have changed to remark 2 lines in common.php so that the logout function is not called during login.
