Hello,
using CCS 4.3, .NET VB, IIS 7, Vista
I got the CCT Dependent Listboxes and it does what it says.
It works ok, however it is giving me problems if I try to "group by" a given field in the second listbox.
Listbox1: type of vehicle (car, truck, bike)--> I choose "Car" -- >then
Listbox 2: repair made to the chosen type of vehicle
(repair 1 to car 1,
repair 2 to car 1,
repair 3 to car 1,
repair 1 to car 2,
repair 2 to car 2)
I have a button "submit" and when clicked, the chosen element from listbox 2 is shown (ok) in a separate grid.
But I would like to show in Listbox 2, instead of 5 occurences like in the example, just 2 (all the repairs made to car 1 and all the repairs made to car 2).
example:
car 1 (all the repairs)
car 2 (all the repairs)
I tried to "group by" in Data source in listbox 2 by a given field....then the whole application does not run ok when published.
A workmate told me to "group by" directly in the sql "select from.... where....group by "xxx"
I cannot find that statement (maybe because it is done through javascript!?)
Any hints?
