I am very new to code charge!! I want to pass a variable through a link...which will be the parameter of a grid (build by grid builder). I have set the link properties...passing the variable in following way

<a href="NewPage1.ccp?branch_code={branch_code}" id="Voucher_DetailsLink1">Show Data</a>

but i dont know how to get this value of {branch_code} in newpage1.ccp and set as gridparameter..
Any help regarding this will be appreciated!!

Thank you

hi there, I work mostly in ASP, but your since it's a grid, the process is the same.

open the Datasource for the grid - the 3 dots ... that are on the right end of the data source line in the properties box.

you should be presented with a diagram of your grid's source tables - simply right click on the field you want to filter against your parameter and choose 'WHERE' - this will open a dialogue that lets you choose what you want the field filtered against

by default, the parameter is usually type URL - so all you have to do is type the name of the parameter on the right hand side and then click OK until you are back to the design page

if you need to you can change the type and format for both sides of the comparison, but in general it's normally not required

let me know that helps :)
