hi forum,
i got the ccs5 beta yesterday. i converted my little web-crm and it works without any problems. only this is the new mysql query builder...
first i recognized that a view of tables on the left is missing, is there a wayto see that again? second i recognized that my select (which works fine in the browser) does not work anymore:
Select
...
IF(pk.id = {id},"bg.png","spacer.gif") AS bg_picture
....
{id} is a parameter from the url. this works brilliant in ccs4, where is the problem here ? wehn i click on "review data" i got an error from mysql saying: "Youve got an error blabla near '},..."
where is the mistake? {id} is an integer... also '{id}' does not work, even "{id}" doens't.
IF(pk.id = 5,"bg.png","spacer.gif") AS bg_picture --> WORKS BRILLIANT!!
anyone who can help me?
greetings, mirko

i also mentioned that queries don't work if you use variables in the select like
@test:=1+2 AS test!
this also worked in older ccs versions! is there a general problem with the new query builder?

Report this as feedback on the beta to support.
They welcome your feedback and it will help to iron out the bugs

Hello Mirko,
Hello Andy.
I have currently working in a project with version 4.3
I would like to install the 5.0 beta on the same machine but I'm afraid to cause some hiccups to the 4.3 version.
Have You installed both versions in the same machine?
Is it possible?
Is there some FAQ available where I can find the information I'm looking for?
Thanks in advance

You can install the 5.0 beta on the same machine as CCS 4.3 without any problems.
If you open a version 4.3 project in the 5.0 beta it will prompt you to backup the old project first if you didn't take a copy...
Looking at the feedback from others, some 4.3 projects convert without any problem, some might need some reworking...
They can run alongside one another though no problem.

Hello Andy.
Thank You for Your prompt answer.
I posted this same question in other thread because I thought it was more adequate to the matter of my question.
Don't know whom to ask to to delete that post...
Andy have You ever tasted coffe made in a La Pavoni machine?
If interested see http://www.lapavoni.it/model.asp?id=25
I'm not Italian. Just a moderate caffeinated coffee taker.
Best regards

Hello Andy.
When starting the 5.0 beta a splash window says "Evaluation period has expired"
and shows 5 options (License agreement, Try, Buy, Activation, Quit) being the
option Try inactivated.
Excluding License agreement, and Quit, I rest with Buy and Activation and not
wanting to buy, I rest with the Activate option alone.
Activation asks for a Serial Number and, if not Activation through the Internet,
the Activation Key.
the only Serial Number and Activation Key I have is from the 4.3 commercial version.
Can You help me, please, to solve this?
Best regards

just activate ccs5 using Serial Number and Activation Key from your 4.3 commercial version.

Hello Gena!
Thank You for Your help.
Just being cautious, do You know if I risk the stability of the 4.3 if I use its Serial Number and Activation Key in the 5.0 beta version?
Thanks in advance for You help

Dias,
this way of activation was suggested by yes support, I have installed version 3, 4.3 and 5 on the same PC and have no problem.

Hello Gena.
Thank You for Your help.
I continued with installation and apparently both versions are OK.
Now I'll try to convert the project I'm working with.
