hi all,

i'm doing up a quick project and MS access gives me the flexibility to do an independent db outside of my main MySQL db.

so, i've got the database set up and connecting locally is fine, I don't have apache running locally - I normally do all my testing via the remote server

php is new to me, just cutting my teeth on it -- how do I get the SERVER part of the Connection to work so that PHP on the remote server connects to the MDB file there? where it is asking for the file name do I need to use the full server path and is PHP expecting '\' as path folder split or '/'

any help appreciated - thanks

You can fiddle with this:
http://devzone.zend.com/1315/reading-access-databases-with-php-and-pecl/

But it's horrifying to configure, and doesn't work very well. Also for
reading only.

thanks, I don't want to hand code anything - I just wanted to do a simple project with PHP and MS Access - I thought it would be simpler to configure through Codecharge.

I'm going to try ODBC approach to see if it's easier to configure, though DSNless is better.
