Hi Anyone have a clue about this problem????

This is a copy of my support ticket to Yes...

Hi

This is really strange!!!

This installation of CCS has been installed for quite some time and has worked fine. (excluding the standard bugs I have learned to work around mostly)

All of a sudden certain builders have started to give me javascript errors.

The builders affected are
Grid Builder
Grid & record Builder

Trying any of those builders now cause this javascript pop up error:

AN error has occurred in the script on this page
line 125
char 6
Error "spin1" is undefined
Code 0
URL file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/CodeChargeStudio4/Components/Dialogs/Wizards/Common/WCommon.js

This occurrs using the builder in both design mode and html mode.

Also the google maps builder from codecharge tools is failing with a JS error (it has always worked before) with this error in the js error popup

Line 125
char 6
Unable to get value of the property "getProperty". Object is null or undefined
code 0
URl file:///C:/Program%20Files%20(x86)/CodeChargeStudio4/Components/Dialogs/Wizards/Common/WCommon.js

Please Help
Thanks
John

I am so confused??? LOL:-/

BTW I found this post

http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=115329&s_keyword=WCommon.js

However.. CCS has been running on IE9 for while...

But cannot recall if I have tried these builders under ie9 LOL

Will post if I figure anything out...

I already knew IE9 was a train wreck.

John :-X

BTW Windows says My updates are current. No updates needed. LOL

Well Guys

Since this is Sunday and tomorrow is memorial day... I could not wait to get a response from Yes. This kind of stuff costs me money LOL

So....

I created a patch in the builders and all seems to work OK now.

If anyone is interested in how to fix this

Let me know

John

BTW

I found the official Yes Patch for this here...

The question one has to ask is why no new release of CCS so everyone can have the fix????

Well, IE9 is known to be a buggy release . . . I'd stay clear of it until it's stable.

Also, IE9 processes Javascripting errors differently than prior versions, which is at the root of the problems your experiencing.
