Hello, i have a hosting with mochahost, reasonable; I have a SQL Srv 2008 database, and I am using this connection string:

Provider=SQLNCLI10;Server=myServerAddress;Database=myDataBase;Uid=myUsername; Pwd=myPassword;

The issue is that takes up to 10 secs to init; however once in use, it is pretty fast for querying and / or updating /inserting etc. Any ideas as per how to improve this?

Thanks

Sounds like it could be a DNS delay (?). Are you using a machine/domain
name or an IP address?

It´s a FQDN, no specific port; I´ve triyed with 1442, wich is what the hoster saysto use; however without port, connects, using specific port fails.... thanks for replying
