JOB SCOPE:
As a Lab Systems Developer will create and specify functional and technical requirements, design, develop and maintain windows form applications, and maintain legacy systems for laboratory use. Also, will create and maintain back-end relational database tables and views to support new lab applications. Must be a team player with excellent attention to details and may perform various other duties, projects and activities as assigned by manager.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Design, develop and maintain corporate windows applications and support databases.
• Interface with end user to determine new and modified functionality of legacy applications.
• Utilize programming skills to develop business processes that enhance and expedite.
• Must be able to learn and understand Weatherford EEP and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
• Must understand and comply with all safety rules, confidentiality practices and company policies of Weatherford.
• Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.
• Perform various other duties, projects and activities as assigned by manager within the physical constraints of the job
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential
• Proficient in C# .Net including LINQ, T-SQL, and Relational Database Design.
• Self starter with solid interpersonal skills and a positive customer service oriented attitude.
• Must be a team player with solid organizational and both verbal/ written communication skills.
• Excellent attention to details a must within all areas of job responsibility.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential
• Bachelor's degree in CIS, EE or MIS or related field or equivalent experience.
• Must be able to sit and work at computer for long periods of time.
• Must have 2 years of “desktop development” experience.
Preferred
• VB.NET, VB6 and Excel/VBA and Winforms
• ASP, ASP.NET, Web Technologies.
