Using the FileUpload component, I get the following error:

An error occured when uploading file specified in FileUpload1 into temporary folder. Error description: Microsoft VBScript runtime error, Invalid procedure call or argument.

TXT files all upload without any issues (= no error messages), but .jpg / .gif / etc... all come up with this error. On a very rare occasion a picture sometimes goes through.

I am aware that my Shared Host, has a limit of 200Kb for file uploads, so only use files that are (much) smaller in size.
Also the folder where the files are being stored (as set in CCS), has the read/write options set correctly.

Reading / searching on this forum, I noticed several others have/had this issue as well, but none of the post had a solution to this posted.

For the upload, I am using the ASP/VBScript Upload for this, as this is the only one that is working with this host GoDaddy. (Changing hosts is not an option at this point..)

I also have an other website hosted with GoDaddy (not on the same space!), with the exact same settings IIS6 / .Net 1.1 / using ASP/VBScript Upload, and there it works all perfectly.

Anyone any ideas/suggestions on what to do to solve this issue?

Thanks so much for your help/reply in advance!

I'm afraid I don't have that option.... Windows Vista does not have a 'comes-with-os' webserver (as far as I know), and to purchase Abyss just to test this.... hmmm....

Were you thinking of something specific that you like me to try it out local?

You Can Install IIS7.0 / ASP / NET etc on Vista

Nothing Especiallly to test, just to be sure problem is related to the Host and not the APP.

we stopped using Hosting like 3 years ago for that issue and others.

Oper, sorry for the what late responds...
Tested it locally and do not have to seem issues... So I guess server related...
No the issue comes: It's a shared host and they're not willing to change settings / install things...
Any suggestions I can try beyond this point?

hmmm.... This is strange?
I noticed that on FF3 I get the error on a regular base, as described.
I thought, lemme try IE and behold: It works 100% of the time!! Thinking this might be an issue with my FF, I tried it on several other machines that have FF installed and all get the same. IE goes fine on all pc's....

Any thoughts on this?
