Hi,
I'm currently using CodeCharge 4.2 and am experiencing some problems trying to get the dependent listbox feature to work within an editable grid.
Has anybody had any luck getting this working? It looks to me like the dependent listbox works fine for the first row but subsequent rows don't appear to filter at all.
I read in another post (http://forums.codecharge.com/posts.php?post_id=94680&s_keyword=dependent+listbox+grid) that there were potential issues with Ajax components in editable grids but I'm not sure whether those issues have been resolved.
Any clues as how to get this to work would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nathan

I got it working this way in a record, should work in grid I would think.
First the db I used..."Products"
Key Company product
1 Comp1 Product1
2 Comp1 Product2
3 Comp1 Product3
4 Comp2 Product1
5 Comp2 Product2
6 Comp2 Product3
Create your list boxes, two in this case and use the company/company for Bound Column and Text Column and in the select, group by company so you do not see six but just two companies. Do the same for the product but do not group. For some reason the key field here in not a good choice.
Now start your Feature Builder, select dependent list boxes, next, your db connection, next.
Select your company list box as master, product as slave.
Data source should auto populate with the product table above
Bound Column should be product
Text Column should be product
Dependent Field is Company.
Try that.
