Hi All
CSS 3.0.2.6
ASP/templates
Win 2003
I have a how to question:
How are redirects set up on a Win server? My client has advertising urls like this for example http://www.mydomain.com/mypage
which then has to redirect to the full url e.g: http://www.mydomain.com/my_directory/mypage.asp
I'm sorry, I know it's not strictly a CSS issue, but it may help someone (like me!) someday and I can't seem to find anything about how to achieve it.
I could sort it in 2 mins. using .htaccess on a 'proper' server!
Kind regards
David

That is Called URL Rewrite in Linux its quiet easy.
in Windows side you need aplicaition that will do that for you PORT80 and other
for IIS7 its part of the Windows Server8 URL Rewriting
also people that only has control over the server could trick on IIS
using 401-404 error (a pain depend on app)

Hi Jan K. and Oper
Thanks for your kind advice.
Yes I know, it's so much easier on Linux
But I found a solution - may be a useful tool for others - but you need control over the iis box:
http://www.helicontech.com/isapi_rewrite/
I downloaded and installed the application and it worked right away, straight out of the box, very sweetly. I only need to generate simple url rewrites, so used the Lite version which is FOC.
Kind regards
David
