Has anyone bought this product and used the Source?

I don't know what the deal is - you buy it and re-sell it? or use it yourself?

Looks good, but I bought CCS so I could develop stuff like this myself, which I do.

So it works they way I want it to etc.

I was confused by it too!

at first I thought it was another sample application Yes was providing to their customers.

then I realized it was something for sale. I guess if I needed that app for my company or to resell it I could buy it and use it as-is or as a jumpstart (one price for app and a higher price that includes CCS project).

Of course you could develop it yourself - if you had enough time on your hand and the skills. Look at all the features and functions. We bought it a few weeks ago together with the source code and are now in the process of adjusting it to our requirements. Other similar Helpdesk/CRM systems cost a lot more and can not be adjusted without having to pay 1000's of dollars.

I bought the software for the already developed features. A big time
savinig there. However, it does not come with any documentation. No user
manual, no admin guide, no installation guide, nothing.

There are 4 interfaces (User, Supervisor, Technician, Administrator) with no
guidance on what each of their roles are and what functions they should be
performing with the software.

Features in the software consist of
1. Defining Services for Customers
2. Enter Sales Leads
3. Creating and manageing Projects
4. Managing Live Chat
There is no information on where or who creates these items and what the
typical lifecycle is for each.

In summary it like buying a bunch of software and then figuring out how to
use it by reading the code, playing with screens to see what happens when
you try different things.

I could not tell anyone at this point if the program actually works as
advertised because we haven't figured it out yet. We bought based on its
features and ASSUMED that it had documentation, sample scenaries, etc.

Has anyone developed any user guides or documentation for ihelpdesk21?

I have discovered from reading the code that user names in the drop down list for assigning a lead need cstatus set to an equivalent code for user type. However there is no way to edit that field in ihelpdesk21. None that I can fine anyway.

I gave up on it. The guy's attitude was all wrong.

I've given my copy to a developer with the intention of taking best bits of
it and producing a properly marketable solution with Manuals (user and
admin). There will be help and manual for developers who wish to customise
it too.
